Artist’s impressions of Calabria

John Ward studied at Canterbury College of Art and St Pauls College of Education, Cheltenham. He taught art in Worcestershire for 30 years. He now spends part of the year in Calabria, southern Italy.

John has embarked on a series of paintings that reflect the colours and textures of the urban and rural landscapes of this fascinating and relatively undiscovered part of the Mediterranean.
